THE FINE PRINT

Terms of Service

Plain-language terms for using Fig & Fiber — memberships, template rights and how sales work between artists and buyers. Last updated November 2026.

Using the studio

Fig & Fiber gives members tools to create fabric templates, plan colors and fabrics, and print patterns at true board size. Free trial accounts can generate up to 3 templates but cannot save projects.

Templates you create here are yours. You may sell the finished fabric artwork you make from them and use them to teach your own workshops. Creator Studio members may also share printed templates with workshop students. Please don't resell the template files themselves as digital patterns.

Monthly AI template allowances follow your plan: Template Basic 15, Color Studio 40, Creator Studio 100 per month. Allowances are meant for one artist's own work; running automated or shared bulk generation may lead to limits being applied.

Memberships and billing

Membership plans are Template Basic at $5/month, Color Studio at $15/month and Creator Studio at $25/month. Yearly plans are billed once a year at ten times the monthly price — two months free.

Template Basic includes 10 saved projects. Color Studio and Creator Studio include unlimited saved projects and a fabric stash of up to 200 swatches.

Plan changes are prorated. Cancelling keeps your access through the end of the billing period; after that your saved projects and swatches remain readable but new saves are paused until you rejoin.

Selling your artwork

Public artist pages let buyers find and contact you. Each piece is sold directly by the artist — the studio does not process payments, take a cut of sales, or provide shipping labels. Payment and shipping are arranged personally between artist and buyer.

Please describe your pieces and prices honestly, only display artwork you made or have the right to show, and respond to buyers in good time. We may unpublish a portfolio that misleads buyers or misrepresents work.

Client work and privacy

Your projects, uploaded templates, fabric stash and client records are private to your account. Client review links use unguessable tokens and show watermarked, reduced-resolution proofs; uploaded pattern images are never exposed through those links, and reference photos you use for color matching are not kept.

Only show client photos and details you have permission to use, and only send review links to the client the piece is for.

Community patterns

Patterns you post to the community are reviewed before they appear publicly. Approved patterns may be shown with a watermarked preview. You can revoke reuse permission for your own pattern at any time.

Don't post templates or artwork you don't have the rights to, and don't repost other artists' work as your own.

Acceptable use

Please don't attempt to access other members' projects or storage, overload the service, or use it to create content that is unlawful or infringes others' rights. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or other artists.

Changes

We may update these terms as the studio grows. Material changes will be noted on this page. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
